Indicted Democrat was flying Air Force One with Obama two weeks ago
As initial reports began circulating Wednesday about the 29-count fraud, bribery and laundering indictment against Rep. Chaka Fattah (D-Pa.), some Internet outlets noted that Fattah has a history of cozying up to the White House.
While Fattah, who’s in his 11th term, was reportedly much closer with Bill Clinton’s administration, he’s still tight enough with the Obama version to hang out on the presidential jet.
Here’s a screen capture of a July 14 tweet from Fattah’s official Twitter page. It shows him chillin’ for a selfie with Valerie Jarrett on Air Force One — just “another history shaping day in the life of the world,” in Fattah’s words:
If you have time, you’ll likely be entertained if you scroll down the page and read all the Twitter comments.
Fattah was flying with Obama to attend the president’s speech in Philadelphia, but the White House is pleading ignorance about the man who was allegedly riding dirty on Air Force One.
“White House spokesman Eric Schultz said the White House was not aware of a pending indictment [against Fattah],” The Hill reported. “He otherwise declined to comment on the charges brought against Fattah on Wednesday.”
